www.hotmath.com is my pick for homework help in math.  This website has resources for hundreds of math books (including ours) online.  The site has hints for the odd problems that are in our textbooks, allowing students to do examples at home along with their homework if they are confused.   To use this site:

1.  Go to hotmath.com and find "Log In" on the top right of the page.

2.  Type in the password (our school's password is jan862)

3.  Choose a subject from the side

• Algebra 1 students should choose Algebra 1
• Integrated Algebra students should choose Middle Math Series

4.  Find your text book

• Algebra 1 students, our book is the 6th from the bottom in the right column Algebra 1(2007 Edition) Prentice Hall, Bellman et al.
• Integrated Algebra students, our book is the 8th down in the right column MathMatters 2 (2/e) Glencoe/McGraw Hill, Lynch, Olmstead, De Forest, Davis 

5.  From there, find the page, and then the problems that you need help with. 

National Library of Virtual Manipulatives has games and hands-on activities that model math lessons that are being taught in high schools. 

Virtual TI-83 Graphing Calculator.  This website allows you to download a TI-83 graphing calculator onto your computer.  This is a way to use a graphing calculator if you cannot afford to purchase one.
